Chairman

John S Chambers, B.Com, MBA, CA, FAICD

After 3 years chartered accountancy, John undertook corporate finance services in merchant banking for 8 years. Over the next 20 years John undertook stockbroking & investment banking, during which time he completed non-executive directorships with the Australian Meat & Livestock Corporation, National Electricity Markets Corporation and Deputy Chairman Victorian RailTrack Corporation and Virax Holdings Ltd.

John has held financial industry appointments including Partner in Potter Partners, Director Potter Warburg Ltd, Chairman Potter Warburg Discount Ltd and Potter Warburg Cash Management Ltd, Chairman Australian Authorised Dealers Association and Managing Director Daiwa Securities Australia Ltd.

John was a member of the Stock Exchange of Melbourne, the Australian Stock Exchange and is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute.

John has been a Director of Tectonica Australia Pty Ltd for over 8 years.

Managing Director

David Levy, B. Sci (Hons.), MBA

David joined Tectonica Australia Pty Ltd in January 2007 after returning from the United Kingdom where he held the positions of Biological Project Manager and Product Development Manager at Smiths Detection, a Division of Smiths Plc.

At Smiths Plc. David managed a team of scientists and engineers that were responsible for the development of biological detection and identification technology and products for application in the defence and security sectors. During this period he was involved in a number of technology commercialisation ventures in Europe and the US.

David was appointed to Tectonica’s Board of Directors in January 2010, and was appointed Managing Director in 2014.

Technical Director

Miles Partridge, B. Eng, M. Eng

Miles founded Tectonica Australia Pty Ltd with the goal of becoming a major supplier of high technology engineering solutions. He has managed projects in the fields of mass transit, data acquisition and robotics, automotive performance and durability, weapon systems and engine development.

Miles has over 30 years engineering and business experience. Following his first commercial activity he joined an applied technology company Innovonics and as joint Managing Director was responsible for establishing and developing its mechatronics design and manufacturing capabilities.

Miles served on its board from start up to successful public listing. He has been a NATA signatory and is skilled in the application of scaleable cost effective manufacturing methodologies.

 

Non-Executive Director

Peter Callaghan, MBA

Peter has extensive experience in manufacturing, international business and defence contracting.

He trained as an Industrial Engineer with the Australian Department of Defence, followed by a period with Lend Lease where he learnt the finer points of project management. This was followed by more than 30 years leading manufacturing and engineering businesses round the world. This included running Smiths Detection, working for the UK Ministry of Defence and being a main Board Director of Marshall of Cambridge, the largest privately owned defence contractor in the UK.

Since 2012 he has followed a plural career that has included leading the Commonwealth Business Council and working with a number of high-tech companies in Cambridge.

He maintains an enduring interest in modern history and economics. His study, combined with many years of business experience, provided the basis for the development of a unique set of management processes and techniques that allow organisations to visualise strategy development and operational reporting.
